Scientifically Accurate

Waddle Waddle features the designer's own photographs of penguins in the wild, taken in Antarctica, and each penguin card features a fact about penguins. All penguin facts are vetted by penguin scientists.

The Penguin Heroes in Waddle Waddle are all based on people who have made it their life’s work to conserve, research and educate the public on penguins. These are the rock-stars of the penguin world and you get to learn about them and play as one of them.

The game board is made from a map of the regions around Antarctica, created by a professional cartographer. And all penguin habitats in the game are scientifically correct.

In the game, your job is to tag penguins as they leave the Ice Floe and travel to their nesting grounds in the Antarctic region, called Rookeries. There’s safety in numbers, so penguins travel in groups called Waddles. You score Research Points for each Waddle you tag. Bigger waddles score more points.

Waddles that contain Mating Pairs make Nests. You will score extra Research Points at the end of each Breeding Season if you tag the most Nests in a Rookery. You'll also get player-specific bonus abilities when you tag the Nests of the Penguin Species your Penguin Hero specializes in.

Each penguin is represented by a Penguin Card with a number indicating its pecking order in the penguin social hierarchy. Only compatible penguins will travel together. There are six different Penguin Species that each like to nest in different places. You’ll need to carefully choose the Penguin Cards from the Ice Floe to score the most Research Points. The penguin deck is 72 cards: 12 cards for each species, numbered 1 to 6 (two copies of each card).

There's no shrink wrap, no plastic coatings, no baggies, and no plastic pieces. All of the game components are made from sustainable wood or from recycled paper stocks printed with vegetable-based inks. Cotton storage bags are included for nests and other game components.

And USD $2 of every Waddle Waddle game sold supports penguin nonprofits. Brush-Tail Games donates to The Global Penguin Society and SANCCOB, two of the top penguin conservation organizations.
